SOLAR PANEL SYSTEM IN SIERRA LEONE
We will return to the village of Magbondoline in Sierra Leone in 2022. We will continue helping the school there as well as the entire community. This year we’re planning on adding solar panels to the school, so children can learn basic computer skills. Up until now this was not possible, because the school had no electricity. We’re also adding new furniture so more kids could attend school. Solar panels and school furniture will be sourced and purchased locally helping the local economy.
TREE PLANTING IN SIERRA LEONE
Offset your rally carbon emissions by contributing to our tree planting project in Masiaka county. 10 Euros will help us plant one tree. Our goal is to plan 2000 trees.
Sierra Leone has been victim of slash and burn agriculture and irresponsible forest management practices. We’re aiming to plant 2000 trees that will not only improve air quality, provide shade but will yield cash income to villagers for many years to come. We’ve already planted 2,000 trees, mostly cashew that will yield fruit by 2024. This new batch of trees will bring additional income to the people of Masiaka and clean air to the world.
